Formal Education:

FONHOH envisages the successful completion of primary and secondary education for all Haitians as a way to have an educated workforce that can be ready to be trained for the requirements of the upcoming modern society. To this end, the foundation envisages to

  • Encourage and participate in building primary and secondary schools in remote areas that have no school or where the distance is often seen as discouraging factor for kids to go to school.
  • Help and encourage the efforts to structure existing schools in the remote areas and cities that are battling to have and to keep a structured education system.
  • Initiate, promote and encourage teacher training for different geographical departments around the country.
  • Work with other organizations and institutions to ensure that schools both in urban and remote areas of Haiti have enough educational materials that can ensure a good learning environment: books, notebooks, pens, pencils; the fundamental tools for any education.
